AG Jeff Sessions woke from his nap in order to unveil a new division of the DOJ which could affect Google, Twitter and Facebook. It could also affect the lamestream media and will have progressives yelling their displeasure but it’s not only legal, but it’s also very constitutional. The new religious liberty task force will enforce the constitution’s freedom of speech clause known as the First Amendment. The reason it will affect so many companies and the media is that they get their information from the SPLC. (Southern Poverty Law Center)
The SPLC labels churches as hate groups if they oppose abortion or gay marriage. Both Facebook and Google use them to help censor conservatives and conservative groups by labeling them falsely as hate groups. Even Ben Carson made their list until protests got too loud. This is a game changer because they would be equally guilty should the DOJ spot a violation.
Speaking at the Justice Department’s Religious Liberty Summit on Monday, Sessions announced DOJ is forming a new religious liberty task force aimed at protecting the freedom of religion Americans that are guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution.
“A dangerous movement, undetected by many, is now challenging and eroding our great tradition of religious freedom,” Sessions said, according to a Justice Department transcriptof the remarks. “There can be no doubt. This is no little matter. It must be confronted and defeated…
“We have gotten to the point where courts have held that morality cannot be a basis for law; where ministers are fearful to affirm, as they understand it, holy writ from the pulpit; and where one group can actively target religious groups by labeling them a ‘hate group’ on the basis of their sincerely held religious beliefs.”
You have to wonder how that will affect Joy Behar of the view and other celebrities who bash Christians because they are nno9t immoral perverts like the left are. I just hope that Sessions has designated someone to wake him up when push comes to shove.
