According to TechCrunch, the New York Post claims it was the target of a major hack on Thursday when offensive articles and tweets were published on its website and Twitter account. After being posted, all tweets and articles were swiftly deleted because they were racist, sexually aggressive, and included murder threats against politicians.

According to CNBC, the Post has published a statement indicating that an employee was responsible for the hack: “The New York Post’s investigation indicates that an employee carried out the illegal behavior, and we are taking the appropriate measures.”

A company official verified to TechCrunch that The Washington Post was hacked. The offending content was removed, and we are investigating how it got there.

Breitbart News has pledged to continue to cover the story.

This attack likely occurred within a Post system, similar to the massive compromise of verified Twitter accounts in 2020 that was used to promote a crypto scam.
