Trump Defends Hegseth Amid Claims of “No Survivors” Order in Drug-Boat Strike

President Trump has publicly backed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after a report alleged Hegseth ordered a “no survivors” follow-up strike on a suspected drug-smuggling vessel. The administration is standing firm, calling the report misleading and praising Hegseth’s actions as part of a broader effort to combat narcotics trafficking.

Trump emphasized that the strike was conducted under lawful orders and framed the operation as necessary to disrupt dangerous smuggling networks targeting the United States. He reiterated that national security and protecting American lives are the top priorities.

In the face of growing controversy, the White House has chosen to double down on support, refusing to disavow the reported orders or offer additional details — even as lawmakers and human-rights groups demand a full investigation.
