WATCH: Harris Confronted With Her Own Controversial Racial Remarks Concerning The Distribution of Natural Disaster Aid

Over this past weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris (D) was confronted due to her intensely controversial racial remarks that she issued this past week concerning the distribution of relief aid in response to natural disasters.

While issuing statements this past Friday evening at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum held in Washington, D.C. with leftist Priyanka Chopra, Harris stated, “It is our lowest income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues that are not of their own making.”

The comments from Harris took place in the wake of Florida being slammed with Hurricane Ian, one of the strongest Cat 4 Hurricanes to ever make landfall across the entire United States.

“And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place,” Harris went on. “And if we want people to be in an equal place, sometimes we have to take into account those disparities and do that work.”

The Research channel for the Republican National Committee put out a social media post highlighting a video concerning Harris being directly confronted at an event on Saturday evening about her statements as attended the Phoenix Awards Dinner at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

One man questioned Harris, “Vice President, can you clarify what you meant about equity for hurricane relief?”

You can see Harris look directly into the camera as the man asked his question before pointedly looking away and ignoring him.

Director of Rapid Response for DeSantis’ re-election campaign, Christina Pushaw put the Vice President on blast this past week in the wake of Harris’ comments, stating via social media: “This is false.”

“@VP’s rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified,” expressed Pushaw. “FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background. If you need assistance visit disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362.”

Deanne Criswell, the Administrator of Fema, expressed during an interview held this past Sunday while speaking on CBS’s “Face The nation” that all of these federal programs assisted everyone.

“[O]ur programs support everybody,” Criswell explained to Margaret Brennan, the host. “I would say I believe some of the things the vice president was talking about are the long-term recovery and rebuilding these communities to be able to withstand disasters, so they can have less impact. We’re going to support all communities. I committed that to (Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis), I commit to you right here that all Floridians are going to be able to get the help that is available to them through our programs.”
