Ilhan Omar, the far-left Democrat Rep for Minnesota, was heavily booed at a recent concert held in Minneapolis this past weekend from a mostly Somali crowd, with quite a few in attendance even shouting at her to “go home” and “get the f*** out of here.”

The Suldaan Seeraar concert was hosted by the Target Center on Saturday evening. It was the first concert in North America for this musician.

As Omar, along with her husband, was brought on stage at the event, the crowd started to heckle and boo quite loudly.

A few of the performers still on stage urged the audience, saying, “don’t do this,” as the heckling and booing ramped up against Omar.

“Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, we don’t have all night,” Omar stated as the crowd continued its tirade.

This concert seemed to be planned by Minnesota’s Somali community as part of Somali Week, which can end up pulling in crowed of tens of thousands in size.

Omar was highlighted in the news recently in the wake of her claiming that religious freedom throughout America was “dead” due to the Supreme Court issuing a ruling in favor of one high school football coach who was originally told that he was not going to be allowed to pray on the field in front of his players.

“The Supreme Court just ruled that public school teachers can pressure students to join in prayer at public school events but can also retaliate against those that don’t join in,” stated on social media. “Religious freedom is dead in America.”

“Every word of this is false.” fired back Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

Omar, earlier this year, put forth a resolution that would make U.S. citizens go and be prosecuted before an international court, and she did so in order to, as she claimed, hold Russian President Vladimir Putin “accountable” for the actions taking place in Ukraine by the Russian military.

“In the wake of reports of war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) introduced a resolution calling on the United States to become a full member of the International Criminal Court,” stated a release from Omar’s office. “The United States is one of a few countries that has not joined the International Criminal Court (ICC), which investigates war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocides.”

By becoming a member of the ICC, the U.S. would be placing itself and its citizenry under the jurisdiction of the ICC. Omar did, in fact, admit this via an op-ed, writing: “If we oppose investigations into countries, like our own, that haven’t joined the ICC, how can we support an investigation into Russia, another country that hasn’t joined the court?”

It has been highlighted by the Congressional Research Service that the U.S. “maintains that any investigation” from the ICC “is illegal because the United States is not a party to the Rome Statute and has not consented to the ICC’s jurisdiction.”
