In recent comments, far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) chose not to make any comments ruling out a possible run for President of the United States when questioned about the issue while taking part in an interview this past Tuesday evening on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
“You know, there’s some speculation as to whether President Biden is going to run in 2024,” stated the show’s host, Stephen Colbert. “There’s some reports that he’s a little frustrated that people keep asking because he keeps on saying, ‘yes.’ And people go, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure?’”
“You know, I know somebody who’s going to turn 35 about a month before the election in 2024 and they represent New York’s 14th [Congressional District],” Colbert went on to say. “Is that job appealing to you at all?”
“Listen, I think that we need to focus on keeping a democracy for anybody to be president in the next couple of years,” She answered. “And that’s my central focus, is helping the people of this country right now.”
“So it’s possible?” pushed the late-night host.
“I don’t know about all that,” she answered while smiling. “I don’t know about that.”
