Well… well… well… look at what we have here.
It seems that the campaign committee for Maxine Waters may have done something scandalous and on the record…
It seems THAT committee dropped nearly $10,000 on tickets for “Hamilton”, out of the total of $954,948 raised of which, somehow lol, spent $1.05 million to get her re-elected.
First off… who in their right minds would donate to her? But that’s beside the point. What a waste of money! Of donated money at that!
The show has managed to make some political waves in the past, one of which is when Vice President Mike Pence attended a performance late last year he was booed by the crowd. At the end of which the cast stated:
“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,” he said. “We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”
Unreal scene here – Mike Pence walks in and there’s a massive mix of cheers and boos. pic.twitter.com/GVZ5L67mA3

And the cast are basically full of snowflakes, saying of the election:
“We had to ask ourselves, how do we cope with this?” Mr. Seller said. “Our cast could barely go on stage the day after the election. The election was painful and crushing to all of us here. We all struggled with what was the appropriate and respectful and proper response. We are honored that Mr. Pence attended the show, and we had to use this opportunity to express our feelings.”
As reported by The Washington Examiner:
Citizens for Waters raised a total of $954,948 and spent $1.05 million to re-elect Waters — a member of the U.S. Congress since 1991 — as of Dec. 1 2016, per Inside Gov.
“Hamilton” creater Lin-Manuel Miranda has been linked to various Democratic and progressive causes in the past.
The cast of the musical famously addressed Vice President Mike Pence when he attended a performance just after the Nov. 8, 2016, elections.
